The legal muzzle energy limits for airguns are, air rifle below 12ft.lb and air pistols below 6ft.lb. Anything above this you require a fire arms certificate
How do you measure your ft/lb on your airgun to ensure you stay legal without a FAC?
First of all you have to measure how fast the pellet is travelling when fired from your airgun. This is measured in feet per second and this can be measured with a chronograph, we recommend the fx chronograph mk2. Then you need the grain of the pellet, there is then a standard formula to calculate the ft/lb. To make this easier use a foot pound calculator

You can, but you must ensure that no pellets travel beyond your boundary because you’ll be breaking the law if you do. Always consider the noise pollution to your neighbours when discharging your air rifle.
Can I fire an airgun if I am under 18 years old?
Yes you are allowed to shoot an airgun if you are under 18 years old, between the ages of 14 and 18 you can use an airgun unsupervised on private premises with the consent of the occupier. Children under the age of 14 have to be supervised by an adult aged 21 or over.
How should I store my airgun?
Before storing your airgun ensure it is not loaded, secondly, ideally in a lockable cabinet. However this is not a legal requirement in England and Wales. The law states that you should take reasonable precautions to prevent anyone aged under 18 from gaining unauthorised access to your airgun
Should I dry fire my airgun?
No we do not recommend dry firing any airgun. If you don’t have a pellet in the breech then there won’t be a cushion of air protecting the piston from slamming hard into the internals of your gun. this will greatly reduce the life of your airgun (seal damage)
Can I reuse a pellet that stuck in the rifle?
No we do not recommend using pellets that were previously jammed in the barrel. We do not recommend using any pellet that is miss shaped in anyway.

Why are pellets sold with 2 different types of weight measurement?
There are 2 different types of weight measurement because ammunition was originally weighed by grain (gr). Grain was also an international measurement . Grams (g) is the modern day equivalent but the weight of the actual projectile is still measured in grain today
How much does a grain actually weigh compared to modern weight measurements?
One grain is equal to 1/7,000 of a pound or 1/437.5 of an ounce or 1 gr is actually defined in metric as 64.79891 mg
What is best to use on air rifle stock, oil or wax?
It depends what sort if finish you want, also depends what Finish is on your stock to start with. If your oiling and your stock is matt finished and grain sealed then I’d advise an oil or wax finish. I prefer oil myself as it adds to the integrity of the timber. A wax will sit ontop only.

What type of oil can I use on my stock?
You can use, walnut oil, double boiled linseed oil it is cheap. You can also use alkanet root to the linseed oil to add a reddish lustre to the stock. There is also a product called True Oil which gives an excellent Finnish on rifle stocks
Can you use to much oil on the air rifle stock?
Yes if you over oil the stock on a regular basis it can start to penetrate the the wood and start cracking the grain

Used Co2 cartridges can be recycled because they are made from either metal or aluminium. Do ensure they are empty before recycling
